Pathways for Academic Career Employment (PACE)
Your Pathways to a Better Career & Brighter Future!
Pathways for Academic Career Employment (PACE)
The Pathways for Academic Career Employment (PACE) program helps students succeed in their education and careers. A Career & Transition Coordinator (CTC) will support you every step of the way. They will help you find solutions to challenges and connect you with community resources. The CTC can also guide you in finding financial aid to help pay for your education.
How PACE Can Help
PACE provides support in many areas, including:
- Financial Support – Help finding money for school
- Educational Support – Guidance with classes and training
- Personal Support – Resources for life challenges
- Career Support – Assistance in finding a job
Why Choose PACE?
Many jobs in Iowa need skilled workers. These jobs include careers like certified nurse aides, welders, and truck drivers. These positions make up nearly half of Iowa’s job market. They are found in industries like construction, manufacturing, finance, and healthcare.
Middle-skill jobs often pay well and come with benefits. They require more than a high school diploma but not a four-year degree. Most workers in these jobs complete an associate degree, certification, or apprenticeship. Iowa Lakes offers many programs that fit this description and can help you level-up in your career!
Do You Qualify?
PACE is for students who want to enter a middle-skill career but face challenges in reaching their goals. You may qualify if you:
- Have limited job skills
- Have lost your job
- Are unemployed or underemployed
- Earn less than 250% of the federal poverty level
Other Aid Options
Iowa Lakes Community College also offers Gap Tuition Assistance options for certain Continuing Education programs, if you think that may be a better fit for you!
