Certified Nursing Aide Offerings
If you’re ready to begin a rewarding career in healthcare, becoming a Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) could be the right path for you. Iowa Lakes Community College is proud to have a variety of Certified Nursing Aide offerings through our Continuing & Professional Education department.
CNAs play an important role in patient care, helping individuals with daily activities while providing comfort, support, and compassion. This career offers the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of others while working in a variety of healthcare settings, including nursing homes, hospitals, assisted living facilities, and long-term care centers.
At Iowa Lakes Community College, our state-approved Certified Nursing Aide course provides students with the knowledge and hands-on training needed to succeed in the healthcare field. Students learn essential skills such as patient care, communication, safety procedures, infection control, and how to assist patients with everyday needs while maintaining their dignity and independence.
CNAs are in high demand, making this a stable and meaningful career choice. Many students also use CNA training as a first step toward other healthcare careers, including nursing, surgical technology, and additional medical professions. Our CNA classes meet state requirements for the Nursing Assistant certification exam and prepare students to care for older adults in long-term care environments.
In addition to training, Iowa Lakes also offers both the knowledge and skills testing portions required for CNA certification. For individuals looking to return to the healthcare field, we also provide a CNA Refresher course designed to help renew your license and rebuild your confidence in patient care.
Start your journey with Iowa Lakes Community College and take the first step toward a future in healthcare.
